Jessikha Block is a jack of all media trades, constantly learning and growing as she finds passion in almost every aspect of film, media and art.

She started early on her media career, not only organizing but also presenting panels at the International convention SXSW (South by South-West) at the age of 16. Wanting to include more young creatives at the conference, she organized panels of women in the film industry to talk about their creative toolkits and challenges of the industry.

Jessikha's life was turned upside down by an autoimmune muscle disease when she was a child, puzzling the doctors she worked with for a few years before being diagnosed with HMG Co-A Receptor Myositis. The disease affects her mobility and strength, limiting what she is able to do in a day. She has to receive infusion treatments every month to maintain her body's muscle and keep her stable. 

She also was diagnosed with D.I.D., or Dissociative Identity Disorder. A complex psychological disorder that develops in response to repeated or heavy traumatic events that took place in the developmental phases of a person's life (Before about 7 years old). It presents itself as multiple personalities that hold different parts of the memories Jessikha has. Each “alter” acts, talks, presents differently, and has different mindsets and interests. This is one of the reasons why “just one thing” doesn’t work for Jessikha. She has many different passions and modes of expression.

There have been many things in her life that have limited Jessikha, or made her feel unable to reach certain heights. Art, however has not been limiting for her, as she explored traditional and digital media in University, finding passion in every aspect of it. She decided that art was truly the career for her, as she has so much creativity to share with the world, in many different ways. Whether she's helping people bring their ideas to reality or creating something for herself, art and media is her thing!

Embrace Enigma is an ever-evolving project exploring the life and inner workings of artist Jessikha Block. After being coined an "Enigma" by a stumped doctor when she was a child, she reclaimed the term and explored what it meant for her to truly be an Enigma.

Since then, Jessikha's work has expanded to multimedia outlets, where she now works as a freelance digital jack of all trades--creating stunning visual pieces for businesses, including (but not limited to):
